Outings...
North East England
Please let
me know of any free or good value outings you find...
In the meantime, here's the list so far...
'Chelle Bulfin: "Just been to Alnwick castle for the day with our three kids (6, 2 & 2). It cost £4 for the gardens and £10 for the gardens and the castle. With kids it was a waste of money to go into the castle as the garden ticket allows them to explore the outside of the castle and see where Harry Potter was filmed! On the plus side they loved the fountains and gardens, and you only pay for the adults in the party as the kids go free!"

More free attractions in Tyneside - we now have the Gateshead Millenium Bridge and the Baltic Arts Centre in Gateshead, just minutes from the metro, also at Sunderland which now has its metro link, there are the Winter Gardens, which is amazing, interactive and keeps my brood happy all day!
