The Dorset most visitors never see

Most visitors to Dorset don't stray far off the beaten track. We tend to avoid the "grockle traps" in High Season and take our offspring to some of the quieter corners, or stay at home when it's really hot & take them out when it doesn't look quite so good - saves a fortune in suncream! Here are some photos, most taken in high summer, showing that you don't have to pay a fortune to get away from it all.

Looks best at screen resolution 1024x768. Photo files are large & may take some time to load.

Sunset over the Fleet

The sun sets over the Fleet lagoon. Wild rabbits were playing in the dusk behind me as I took this shot.
