I know it's cheating!

Before I'm inundated with emails from agitated quilters, I know this isn't really patchwork! But it is quick, easy & cheap...
This was made from a book of outdated fabric samples which was free from our local home decor shop. I just cut out the samples, trimmed them to the same size, arranged them until I was happy with the overall effect, stitched them into strips then stitched the strips together in a diamond pattern. Small squares liberated from a wallpaper/fabric sample book were then appliqued onto the big squares. I cut some of the big samples in half & used these to make up the edges, then bound the edges with binding made from long strips of rag left over from another project. I hope it will eventually be stitched onto an old blanket to give it a bit more "body", when I've got one that doesn't get captured for another project!
